E E Montgomery never stopped asking the question many parents dread: "Why?" That one word has lead to degrees in Education, IT, Information Management, Creative Writing and Massage Therapy. Never satisfied with the mundane, E E has taught adolescents and adults, has worked in fast food restaurants and upmarket jewellery stores, been a farmer and run a couple of small businesses. Add the questions "What happens next?" and "So what?" and you have a recipe for fiction. A dedicated people-watcher, E E finds stories everywhere. In a cafe, a cemetery, a book on space exploration or on the news; there'll be a story of personal growth, love and unconditional acceptance there somewhere.

Another story sold
I sold another story: my third to Dreamspinner Press in six months. This is a novella, Just Like a Date, the sequel to Just His Type which was released on 18 April. Just Like a Date is scheduled for release in July/August this year.I've recently finished a new story about a snake catcher. It was difficult to start because I don't know a lot about snakes or snake catchers but the research helped with that. The story took an unexpected ninety degree turn in the middle so I hope I've dealt with that well enough that it doesn't read like I simply had to follow another path.
I've also begun the Sequel to Just Like a Date. I'm calling it Just in Time. It will be the story of Mark, who you'll meet in Just Like a Date.
I want to keep submitting and (hopefully) selling, regularly.

I've put a couple of stories up that were published quite some time ago in anthologies. They're both well out of print now and more an indication of where I've come from, rather than where I am or where I'm headed. The good thing about them is I think they've both stood the test of time reasonably well. I read them and still like them. Click on the link to the right to see more.
